Wood Dale students can explore career options
As part of Wood Dale School District 7, students can attend Oakbrook Elementary School for kindergarten through second grade. “Oakbrook has a community garden, and I know they do a lot of outdoor activities,” says Najera Miljevic, librarian with the Wood Dale Public Library who has lived and worked in the city for five years. Westview Elementary receives a B-minus from Niche and offers third through fifth grade, while Wood Dale Jr. High School scores a B. At Fenton High School, which earns a B-plus and is the only school in its district, students can participate in the Career Pathways program. This program aids students in exploring different careers by meeting with professionals and offering hands-on experience, with the hopes that they have some idea of what they want to do by graduation.
Westview Elementary School is a well rated public school in Wood Dale that offers several afterschool clubs for students, like art club and newspaper.
Oakbrook Elementary School is an above average public school in Wood Dale, serving about 300 students.

Park District and Forest Preserves of DuPage County manage parks

"A lot of residents are actively involved in the library," Miljevic says.
