Set just north of Columbus, Worthington is a city with a strong sense of self. With a population of around 15,000, this first-ring Columbus suburb is known for being well-established and low-key. "Worthington has a different vibe—more intellectual, less showy," says Mike Parsons, a broker with Parsons Real Estate. "It's focused on schools and culture versus the McMansion." This attitude, along with well-attended events that appeal to wide swaths of the community, fosters a sense of camaraderie among residents. "There's a sense that we'll support anything needed to make this a better community for everyone," says Glenn Moog, a Realtor with Keller Williams Capital Partners.

However, Worthington has a foothold, with employers from the manufacturing and medical industries set up in the industrial corridor on the city's east side.
