Amityville
Amityville is a quaint village on South Oyster Bay in the Suffolk County town of Babylon. Established in 1658 by Dutch settlers, Amityville is a staid but growing suburb of New York City on the southwestern quadrant of Long Island. The village is perhaps most famous as the setting for the bestselling book and hit 1979 film "The Amityville Horror."
