Merion Village
Merion Village is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Columbus, with settlers from Great Britain and Nova Scotia arriving in the early 1800s. In 1809, entrepreneur William Merion saw an opportunity for Ohio farmers and acquired 1,800 acres near the local canals and developed a port of entry along the Scioto River to bring their goods to market.
