Coletown
Coletown is a rural community located in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky, about 10 miles southeast of Lexington. The area borrows its name from Milley Cole, a former slave who inherited land here in the early 19th century. While the area was slow to grow — in 1971 Coletown had only 30 residents — today, it's home to a population of over 1,300.
