The brokerage behind Netflix’s “Owning Manhattan” is making the foray from the East Coast to the West, opening its first office in Phoenix.
Serhant., the eponymous New York-based firm founded by Ryan Serhant, announced Monday that it is launching its new office with 50 agents and more than 100 listings. The brokerage had already expanded to eight other states on the East Coast since its founding in 2020.
Opening a Phoenix office is part of the brand’s goal of taking its services nationwide, according to Serhant.
“Expanding nationally has always been a goal for Serhant., but it has been an organic journey, not a race to be the biggest or the fastest for the sake of being big or fast,” he said in a statement. “Our momentum in the West is just beginning, and we’re excited to grow our SerFam [Serhant. family] and open Serhant. Arizona with such an accomplished and dynamic group of entrepreneurs.”
The expansion comes after years of growth that is expected to continue in Phoenix and its surrounding areas. At the end of last year, the National Association of Realtors deemed Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler, Arizona as a fast-growing market to watch in 2025.
Using demographic measures, mortgage rate data and home prices, the team of economists and researchers said they expected expansion in the Phoenix housing market, especially as Californians continue migrating to the metropolitan area.
The Serhant. Arizona team will be led by broker Todd Lee, formerly of Epique Realty. Lee said he was drawn to the brokerage because of “the brand itself, which represents quality, integrity and luxury,” as well as the access it offers to technology and marketing for brokers and agents.
Founding agents for Serhant. Arizona include Mike Santistevan, Mary Jo Santistevan and Ceejay Cesiel of The Santistevan Group; Stephanie Bray of The Bray Team; Paulina Matteson; Lesley McGee; and Dan Ward.
