I decided to leap into helping others invest in real estate in 2019 after realizing the financial wealth and freedom that real estate investing has provided to my family. I am passionate about helping others take the next step in their real estate investing journey. Whether it is purchasing a first home, upgrading and turning current home into a rental, purchasing a short-term rental in a favorite vacation spot, purchasing a safe rent-free home for a college bound kid, selling to re-invest elsewhere, or any other investing next step, I absolutely love sharing my always growing knowledge and personal experiences to help others meet their real estate investing desires.

Little-known fact
-In my past career in Corporate America, I was provided the opportunity to work in Australia on a 5-week project. This experience was my first exposure into what living life to the fullest each day looked like. I also 'almost' experienced kangaroo boxing at the Sydney Zoo, but thankfully it just resulted in a great picture and a funny story.

We had the opportunity to work with Amy Weisbender to sell our home in Lakewood CO during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is an exceptional realtor and we recommend her without hesitation.

Three key challenges to this sale were: we were out-of-state for the majority of the process, we had tenants living at the house during the first round of showings, and COVID-19.

When we decided to sell our home we started to do some research on realtors in our area.  Amy was a former co-worker at a consulting firm and I remembered that she was very sharp, friendly, honest and one of the hardest workers there.  When we first connected with her she spent about an hour gathering all our preferences and going over a few different timelines and scenarios (this was in January before COVID).  Our timeline changed a bit because the market appeared to be heating up in early March 2020, so we decided to list the house with our tenants still there.  This was the weekend before shelter-in-place orders started to go into place.  She did a great job at not only coming up with a plan to safely show the house, but she also worked with our tenants to hear their concerns and preferences (no small feat as one of our tenants was particularly challenging).  We worked out a plan to have showings for three-hour blocks Friday through Sunday.  We had thirteen showings Friday and Saturday, and had two offers $5k over asking by Sunday morning.  We accepted one of the offers, but by late March concerns about the seriousness of COVID and impacts to the economy were intensifying and the buyer pulled out.  Amy was undeterred and optimistic throughout the entire process and we decided to hold off until the market stabilized as well as follow the shelter-in-place orders, which restricted most aspects of real-estate.

In early April we started to prepare the house for a second listing.  Amy regularly provided us with up-to-date market data and information relating to the current restrictions on showing homes.  She also spent time researching and choosing a provider to take beautiful pictures and do a 3-D virtual tour. This was to help put us at a competitive advantage in the scenario that only virtual tours were to be allowed due to CO-VID 19 for the foreseeable future. We had the house listed for about a week and ended up with two offers  She thoroughly explained the pros and cons of each offer, which allowed us to confidently make the right choice. The closing went off without a hitch and she was with us each step of the way.

Without reservation we recommend Amy for your next real-estate move. You would be hard pressed to find a better realtor!
