Barb Hazelton is a seasoned agent with over 12 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate, currently acting as an Assistant Manager in Greenwich CT to a roster of almost two hundred agents in two offices.
Barb moved a lot as a young woman, living all over the country and is adept at downsizing, organizing, and decorating. Fresh out of Miami of Ohio she worked in Chicago selling chemicals for Monsanto. A transition to media and production work brought her to NYC where she worked for Broadway Video and Telepictures. In time she became a recruiter for Digital Sales Talent and eventually found her passion in real estate.
She is actively involved in her hometown of Darien serving as a former Executive Member of the Darien YMCA, the President of the Holly Pond Nursery School, a manager for multiple Darien Youth Hockey Teams, and a Captain's Mom to a Varsity Hockey player. She was also the president of the Darien Board of Realtors in 2018 and has actively served as a Member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, soon to serve as Chair in 2023.
Because of her experience moving and working as a realtor, she has amassed a wealth of resources that include contractors, painters, stagers, inspectors and more. Because she is involved with the Town of Darien Planning & Zoning, she is also skilled at accessing "Town" resources like the tax assessor & building departments. In 2013 she renovated her own personal home from top to bottom, working closely with the Town and builders to create an expert home and guest house.
On a personal note, she is the mother of two boys and two girls, raising them in Darien CT. She is also divorced and has used her knowledge and experience to create eighty videos that help others navigate the process of divorce on her website: www.thesingleprocess.com.
And more important than all the experience and connections, she is fun to work with. Although the process of selling a home can be intimidating and overwhelming at times, Barb makes it as pleasant and smooth as possible. In her current role as Assistant Manager in Greenwich, she now works through her agents to provide a full service and valuable experience to all Coldwell Banker Clients.
