About Betsy

I am one of the Broker/Owners of Benson Agency Real Estate, LLC. I began my real estate career in 1986 at this agency. In 2001, Becky Thomas and I formed a partnership and bought the agency from its founder, Rosalie Benson. Mrs. Benson was a wonderful mentor and because of her training and guidance we began our business on a very strong foundation. By our third year of ownership we were the number one office in sales in the greater Oneonta area.

I have earned the GRI, ABR, SFR and ePro designations. I am a past member of our local Board of Realtors Board of Directors, past Chairperson for the MLS Committee and a member of the Professional Standards Committee. I was named the 2014 Realtor of the Year for our local board.

Outside of real estate, I sit on the Boards for The Family Service Association, Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, Unatego Alumni Association and Unatego Dollars for Scholars. I previously was a Board member for Girl Scouts-Indian Hills Council. Inc. and a Town of Otego Councilperson.
