Billie is dedicated to serving the community in which she lives. As an avid hiker and lover of the outdoors, it is important to her to devote time to caring for the mountains she loves and spends time in. For that reason, Billie currently volunteers with Friends of the Smokies whose mission is to preserve and protect the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

In her free time, you can find Billie exploring the great outdoors or road tripping to her next adventure! She enjoys fly fishing, hiking the many trails this region has to offer, running at Lake Junaluska or simply taking a breather on her front porch. She loves to be active, so if she isn’t outdoors, you can find Billie indoors teaching a Pilates or spin class at Haywood Regional Fitness Center. She also enjoys spending quality time with friends, family, and of course her sweet calico cat. These mountains are truly special and Billie is so grateful to call this beautiful region home.
