About Brad
Brad Bateman is a founding member of The Bateman Fields Team; an industry leading Brooklyn-based group with over $100M in sales for 2021 alone. The Bateman Fields team is ranked in the top 5 small teams in Brooklyn by The Wall Street Journal's Real Trends rankings, which puts them in the top 1.5% of all agents nationally, and in the top 2% of the more than 26,000 Compass agents nationally. Together with his partner, Jessica Fields, and their team, Brad has established deep roots in the Brooklyn & Manhattan brokerage communities. With two decades of experience, Brad has cultivated insider knowledge of every neighborhood, and is committed to spreading his love of each locale to his clients. From townhouses to studios, and everything in between, Brad has an extensive understanding of the varied complexities associated with any given sale in a hyper-competitive marketplace.
Brad is not your typical broker; he takes time to understand each person's needs, desires, and puts together an individualized plan steeped in deep understanding of the market and evidence-based strategies for achieving success. With a firm commitment to building community, Brad has developed strong relationships with brokers, business owners and clients, allowing him to help his client achieve their real estate goals and feel cared for along the way. He always puts his client first, knowing that relationships are at the heart of growing a successful and meaningful career. As a surfer, Brad knows how to ride the waves of challenging scenarios, apply good judgment, and prioritize being decisive and clear, understanding that his clients have full lives and need someone to cut through the BS.
He sees his profession as one focused foremost on customer service, trust, and integrity. Prioritizing relationships, professionally as a realtor and personally as a husband and father, has enabled his business to grow each year from the many referrals his former clients send to him.
Brad graduated magna cum laude from Boston College for undergraduate studies while playing Division I Lacrosse, and he finished at the top of his MBA class at Fordham University. Before diving into real estate, he spent a year coaching and playing Lacrosse in England. Brad is also an avid traveler, having visited 60 countries, often in pursuit of the best hidden surf breaks or far-flung hiking trails. Brad lives in a Stuyvesant Heights brownstone, where he and his wife Lia are raising their two young daughters: Scarlett and Noa.
