I saw the Shores Real Estate 2024 calendar on the fridge this morning and it dawned on me that I never left a review. I immediately felt regret, because not many times will you work with with professionals of this caliber, in any capacity. One of the biggest decisions in many individuals lives will be purchasing their first home. Around a year ago when homes seemingly were gone minutes after the listing was placed online somehow, we decided to do just that. We were looking at houses for an extended period of time on our own. I sent listing after listing to my fiance who finally stated that she loved the last one I sent her. I wasn't really sure how to get a tour of the property, and my Fiance told me that she knew someone that could help. That someone being Brenda. I didn't know her at all, and self admittedly am fairly hard to please because I would hold other to the same standard in business that I hold myself to. But I trusted that my finance stated they were good people, and am glad I did. Reaching out to Brenda legitimately did change our lives for the better. There are many who overuse the phrase "XXXX changed my life", but in this instance it is true. The night that we contacted her, she already had the showing setup for the next day. After the tour of the property a couple calls took place and that night we had the house within 24 hours of inquiring. Every step of the way after that was laid out for us simply that caused no stress.

The TLDR for those wanting a short and simple review - Reach out to Brenda to assist with purchasing or selling your home. You will not find someone who makes this process less painful on you than their Real Estate Agency.

My wife and I bought our home with help of Brenda Shores and I can’t say how incredible how smooth everything went. She led us through the entire process, start to finish, found us an off market home and we got an incredible deal on it. She even fought for us to keep it when the seller attempted to go to market and increase the asking price. Now we have our first little one that we’re raising in our home that we wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for the Shores real estate team!

Brenda Shores was exactly who we needed when it was time for us to transition from our family home of 25 years to finding the perfect floor plan for us to move forward in. She knew the market and the area well. Brenda even lined up skilled contractors to do projects to have both homes move in ready. She communicated and negotiated on both the sale and the purchase which took pressure off of us during the process. They were patient, understanding, very informative, and truly put in the work to find a house that was right for our family. Brenda walked through my parents' home prior to putting it on the market and advised us on the best way to proceed. Because of her connections in the area, Brenda was able to bring us a buyer who met our needs quickly. She advised that we did not need to spend time and money fixing the place up to sell, and she was right - it sold very quickly for assessed value to a buyer who wanted to fix it up himself. Because of her connections she was aware of a potential buyer who made us a great offer and closed quickly.

Brenda and her team were absolutely outstanding in the entire house buying process. We were out of state buyers in a crazy sellers market and she was with us every step of the way. She was immediately available for everything we needed, very thorough in her understanding of the market and explaining all the intricacies to us (especially me, the first time home buyer!). Our sale went off without a hitch and Brenda continued to go above and beyond even after our sale was complete - she had excellent contacts that we used for painting, carpet, roofing and drywall repairs, and continued to stop by the house to make sure everything was going well until we arrived. She even coordinated with my parents who were in town and could help on site. My entire family will now recommend her and her team for any housing needs in KCMO!
