Born in Orlando, Florida, Chip Moon moved to Charlotte at the age of two and grew up in Myers Park. He graduated from Myers Park High School and The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee with a BA in English. After graduation, he joined the United States Army for two years where he was headquartered in Fort Myers, Virginia and worked at the Pentagon. Chip has experience in sales and managed his own company, Chip Moon and Associates, for 30 years. During that time, he traveled all over the world and managed national key accounts for businesses. Since 2003, he has held key positions with Fox Premier Sales (Vice President of Sales), Corporate Data Products (Vice President of Sales) and Vice President of Marketing, Property Management & Construction at Harris Land Co. In 2011, Chip and his wife, Rivers, who has been in residential real estate since 1994 and is a native Charlottean, joined Corcoran HM Properties.
Working as a team, Chip and Rivers are able to provide each of their client's exceptional service. As natives of Charlotte, they have in depth knowledge of the region and neighborhoods. They have lived through the tremendous growth of Charlotte from when it was a small town to one of the fastest growing and most desirable cities in the nation! Rivers has profound knowledge of neighborhoods and vision of what can be done to a home to make it work for the buyer or prepare a home to sell at its “highest and best”. Chip brings great business sense, management skills and negotiating experience having owned his own successful company for over 30 years.
Working as a team, they bring both a woman’s and man’s perspective to their client’s buying or selling experience. They walk with their buyers through all aspects of the home search and buying process and guide sellers with their experience and contacts to prepare their home to bring top price in the shortest period. They do all of this with integrity, knowledge, patience, and a sense of humor! Their friends become clients and clients become friends!
Chip and Rivers live in Olde Foxcroft and have two adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren and all of them live in Charlotte! He enjoys bow hunting, wing shooting +, freshwater fishing, and saltwater fishing - tarpon in the Keys, Costa Rica, and Belize.
