Clay Burris

There is something special about growing up in a small town. Growing up in Mt. Vernon, IN, Clay was taught the tremendous importance of caring for your neighbors, speaking with honesty, and acting with integrity. From an early age, he knew he wanted to serve other people while building a secure future for himself and his future family. After graduating high school, he traveled to the nearby University of Evansville to pursue his dream – even if he was not fully sure what that dream was yet. Majoring in business with a concentration in marketing, Clay began to explore the possible ways he could use his passion for serving others, utilize my education, and build the foundation of his life.

After marrying his high school sweetheart Ashley, he found myself knee-deep in the process of building their first home. From the planning to the contractors, the building to the finishing, the negotiating to the closing – he was hooked on the process. Clay entered the real estate business quickly after they finished building their first home. Specializing in new construction for several top builders in the area, he started to expand his expertise into mortgage origination, and finally, selling homes.

Today, Clay is the owner/team leader of the award-winning Burris Realty Group! His work today is the culmination of his small-town values, his dedication to serving others, and his unabashed passion for helping other families build their own foundation – literally and figuratively. To Clay, real estate is not a job – it is a calling. When he is not helping families find the home of their dreams or sell their current property, he can be found playing basketball with his seven-year-old son or traveling with his wife and friends!
