Colette Hughes

Growing up as an Air Force dependent, I've been fortunate to live in diverse locations, from Mather Air Force Base in California to places like Japan, the Philippines, and several states across the US, finally settling in Riverview, Florida in 2004. My educational journey led me to graduate from Colorado State University and obtain two master’s degrees from Webster University.

My career path is fueled by a passion for serving the senior population, which drove me to earn the Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designation. This certification uniquely qualifies me to assist seniors with real estate transitions, whether they're considering retirement, downsizing, or exploring active adult communities. My goal is to guide clients through every aspect of the real estate process, ensuring they feel empowered to make informed decisions.

Apart from real estate, I'm deeply involved in community service. I'm an active member of the Old Seminole Heights Community Association and volunteer with Meals On Wheels of Tampa. Additionally, I'm a proud graduate of Leadership Brandon (2008) and serve as an advisor for the Sigma Kappa Chapter at the University of Tampa. In my leisure time, I enjoy attending Lightning Hockey games, running marathons, paddle boarding, and attending cooking classes.

My specialties include working with seniors (50+), facilitating military relocations, navigating VA loans, and assisting with residential real estate, second homes, investment properties, and retirement planning. I'm dedicated to providing exceptional service to my clients and view them as more than just transactions—I consider them "clients for life," offering ongoing support beyond the closing process.

With my diverse background, commitment to community service, and expertise in real estate, I'm well-equipped to help clients navigate the complexities of buying or selling homes, particularly seniors and military personnel.
