When my wife and I were searching for a realtor, we both agreed we wanted a go-getter to be proactive with negotiations and contracts. Donald’s experience and skills checked off a lot of what we were looking for on our list, including quick thinking. Not only that, his ability to problem solve was necessary during this chaotic time of multiple bidders in this area. The seller also acknowledged that he was a great realtor. Donald went above and beyond, and we are very grateful for the end result. So, tell your friends to tell their friends that Donald is a beast at real estate!

We are two first-time home buyers and truly can't recommend Donald enough. He understood exactly where we were with our knowledge of the home buying process, and was able to guide us from the very first steps through close. We closed on a truly beautiful home during the height of a "seller's market", entirely because Donald was able to structure our offer to be as attractive as possible while still keeping us in a position within our means and within a reasonable market expectation.

We actually lost out on our first offer, and we are very, very happy to have had Donald as our realtor through that process. Based on comps, and the final sales price of that unit, a less skilled realtor easily could have allowed us to get taken for a ride through a bid-up. Despite that loss, Donald stayed positive and helped us have a contract in place less than a week (!) later on an even better place, in a better neighborhood, at a better price per SF. Could not be happier - highly recommended!!

I met Donald at an open house in a neighborhood I was interested in exploring the option of buying in (not yet actively in the market at the time) and am so grateful I walked in that day. Donald was respectful of my timelines, really listened to my needs and wish list items, and is generally personable and easy to work with. He would regularly send me listings he thought worth my time, and one day a home that seemed perfect on paper (and well within my price range) came along. He had me in for a showing that day, and it ended up being the home I live in today.

There were some complications in the purchasing process (needed repairs, last minute installations that needed to go in, etc.) that required several rounds of negotiations, and I really trusted Donald’s expertise when considering my options. He was honest about the issues and I never got the feeling that he was trying to push me forward to close the sale. While working under tight deadlines, he coordinated having contractors and tradesmen come into the property within 24 hours to give me quotes for work, all of whom were trustworthy and reasonable. We ended up closing with a deal I was really satisfied with, and now, after 7 months of living in my new home, I can safely say I have absolutely no regrets. Donald even still checks in on me from time to time to make sure I’m happy and have everything I need. I would highly recommend working with Donald as your real estate agent. He will go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy, which is so appreciated given he’s helping you coordinate what may be the biggest financial investment of your life!

We met Donald at an open house for a home in DC that was completely move-in ready. We ended up buying a house that needed a complete gut job and renovation. Donald was there to help us through that journey and made sure we understood all the pros and cons of each approach. When we did decide to go for the old Victorian fixer upper, he sent us photos of vintage kitchens and shared ideas about how to keep some of the authenticity of the place. He also found us a great general contractor to work with and made sure we were all on the same page. Donald is knowledgable and professional but is also laid back and easy to work with. He made our first home purchase as stress-free as possible. I would definitely recommend him if you're looking for house in the area!

I have had the pleasure of partnering with Donald to help several clients buy homes in the DC Metro Area. As a lender, I have experienced so many interactions between the real estate agent and the client. Some good and some not so good. In Donald’s case, EVERY single client is well informed, comfortable, and on the same page as Donald which is huge considering the stress of buying a home. It’s one of the most stressful financial decisions in someone’s lifetime and Donald understands that and does his best to make sure his clients are getting exactly what they want. He goes out of his way to make sure his clients get the best deal. I have even witnessed him with a sledgehammer in a basement knocking down a damaged wall so the house can pass the inspection! If that’s not dedication and someone you want in your corner when the time comes to buy a house, I don’t know what is!!!

Donald not only introduced us to neighborhoods we weren't familiar with but he was also really helpful in introducing us to programs that aid first time homebuyers.
