The house sold quickly and the short sale was accepted by the banks. Everyone has a different opinion on short sales but if you hire a Realtor with experience, it's not difficult. I was most impressed that Ehren Alessi found a buyer for our home before it even hit the market. We moved out-of-state (over 2,000 miles away) and we were able to close with a mobile notary even though we never met him or stepped foot into his office. When time was running out in December of last year in order to get the federal forgiveness act, everyone worked very hard to finish in time. Ehren helped us with our shortsale. Because of the market, our 'starter home' was becoming a forever home that we could not fit in any more, but thought we could not afford to sale since we owed more than double it was worth. Ehren kept in communication with us about the property the entire was through the process. The customer service manager also sent out monthly check-ins to ensure we were being served well and to see if we had any questions. My husband and I both work full time, so Ehren allowed us to sign and scan documents in the evening and email them to him. It was a lot more convenient than driving to the office which was about a half hour away. Since it was a short sale, the bank did not accept the offer from the first buyer, Ehren worked hard marketing the property so that we obtained a higher bidding buyer. After 1 1/2 years of struggling to find a buyer for a short sale at a price that the bank would a agree to, we switched to Resolution Realty. Ehren Alessi met with us personally and promised to do his best for us. Facing a foreclosure attempt by the bank that started under the previous Realtor, our lawyers stopped the foreclosure with Ehren's foreclosure mediation packet in hand. We then proceeded with the search for a buyer. Ehren made the necessary adjustments to the pricing and got buyers in the door. My wife and I were dealing with a different mortgage company and we were very unhappy with how they were treating us. Luckily I heard Ehren on the radio and not only did he know what he was talking about he sounded like he really cared about his clients.
