Ellen Zhu

Ellen Zhu moved to Tucson, AZ in 2000 with her husband and three young children from St. Paul, MN. Born in Beijing, China, she immigrated to the United States with her husband in 1991 and began working as a Registered Nurse. Motivated by her nursing background, Ellen wanted to search for other career options that also involve communicating with and assisting others, while also allowing her more flexible work hours to care for her children. In 2003, Ellen began to invest in real estate in the Tucson area and became interested in taking courses related to real estate. As her passion grew, she decided to apply for a license and in 2006 was formally recognized as a Realtor with Tierra Antigua Realty, southern Arizona's largest locally owned Real Estate Company. Ellen's reputation as a realtor is professional, quick to respond, and communicates clearly and thoroughly. She is known for her caring personality and for going above and beyond to meet the needs of her clients; she works hard to be her client's advocate and representation throughout the buying/selling process. Living in Tucson for the last 20 years has given Ellen a clear understanding of Tucson's housing market, school districts, and communities to assist her clients with buying, selling, and real estate investments. Aside from working with real estate, Ellen is also an active member of the Chinese community in Tucson. She has been a member of the Tucson Sino Dance Group for 18 years, and she is also the founder for the Tucson Sino Fashion Group. As a bilingual speaker of Mandarin Chinese and English, Ellen collaborates with many Chinese clients and can give additional assistance with making connections within the Chinese community. Now that all three of her children are grown and living away from home, she enjoys spending her time with her husband, gardening, and learning the Chinese instrument Guzheng. Ellen often goes hiking on the many trails all around Tucson, and she also enjoys travelling to experience new adventures all over the world when she has time.
