Born and brought up in Boston, Karen graduated from Girls' Latin School and Simmons University. At Simmons, she majored in Community Work with a minor in Psychology. She worked for both the Social Work Careers Program and The Division of Employment Security counseling women with domestic problems and helping create employment opportunities for the unemployed.
After graduation, she found that the real estate profession provided her with the opportunity to use her expertise as a counselor and her ability to help people achieve success. For many years, she has put those skills to use, guiding sellers and buyers through the many complicated steps involved in buying and/or selling property. She has helped smooth the way for her clients with patience and genuine empathy. As a result, much of her real estate business comes from previous clients and referrals.
Karen still loves meeting new people and new challenges, however. Through the years, she has worked with clients buying a first home, moving up to a larger home or downsizing to a smaller home. She has sold condominiums, single families, and multi-families.
She has earned many designations such as Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI) and Senior Residential Specialist (SRES). I have received many awards for selling, but my greatest award has always been seeing my clients at their closings, thrilled, and anticipating their future in their new homes
