Kate Cassidy

Her husband Greg, and daughter Ruby moved to Strafford, Vermont from Nantucket, Massachusetts in 2002 to be closer to a strong horse community and allow Ruby the experience of growing up in the Upper Valley's rich cultural environment. They lived on the island for 25 years where she taught horseback riding to many island children, they were lucky to be able to travel off-island to local horse shows on Cape Cod and beyond. She has competed in Eventing and Dressage and some local jumper classes too and her favorite events were in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Western MA.
She moved to an area steeped in equestrian history for any discipline, Eventing, Dressage, Competitive Driving, Hunter Jumpers, and Endurance with the added bonus of the Green Mountain Horsemans Association (GMHA) just a hop and a skip away. She feels so lucky to have had the opportunity to ride with many renowned professional trainers from all over the globe at lovely farms and training facilities in Vermont and New Hampshire. The list includes Eric Smiley, Shelley Francis, Jane Hamlin, and Denny Emerson, just to name a few.
She focuses her Real Estate business on equestrian properties and farmland, she loves walking into a well-built barn and horse property that makes for ease of care for both horse and rider.

She worked as a rape crisis counselor at the island's local domestic violence agency, A Safe Place, and at the Upper Valley agency, WISE as well.
Her previous life experiences have taught her dedication, the importance of research, compassion and more importantly listening to clients' wants and needs. She relies on these skills in her approach to the Real Estate Profession. she will continue to be detail-orientated, quick to respond to inquiries and she will be dedicated to guiding you through the process of purchasing or selling your home with ease.
