Kathy McKinney was 15 out of 10! We had purchased a new home out of state and really wanted to move quickly on selling our current home to avoid trips back and forth. Kathy was amazing- she made great recommendations for how to ready our home to sell, she even connected us quickly with a cleaner and landscaper, scheduled them, and had our house ready within about two weeks. She was so responsive and got an amazing price for our home- far more than we were expecting! We cannot recommend her enough.

When my fiancé and I found out we were pregnant (surprise!), we knew we needed to buy a house and ASAP! We found Kathy on a referral from a work colleague and I called her and explained our situation. My fiancé and I had no idea what we were doing as we never bought anything before. At our first meeting- Kathy was patient, informative, and friendly. Her “no pressure/no push style” made us feel at ease. She walked us through everything including giving us another great referral for financing options. Later, when it was time to look at homes, she spent so much time with us and never pressured us. Very quickly, she found us found us our DREAM home (seriously- pinch us!). Looking back, however, working with Kathy was just as much of a dream as our new home. She is smart, hardworking, and kind. My wife and I were first time home buyers, and Kathy was an absolutely wonderful realtor. First of all, she's extremely energetic and personable and took the stress out of the whole process. Kathy was also a great communicator (by phone, text, and email); I don't think we ever waited longer than an hour for a response from her the entire time we were working together. I also really appreciated how flexible she was. There were a few times where we sprung last minute requests for showings on her, and she never hesitated to shift things around to accommodate us. She also has exceptional knowledge of the market from her years of experience. When it came time to make an offer, she provided a comprehensive set of comps that helped us to get the house that we loved for 5% under list, when the average accepted offer for the market is around 2-3% under list.

All in all, Kathy was an outstanding advocate for us during every step of the home buying process. I would highly recommend her to anyone, and if ever we do decide to sell our house, she will be the first person we call.

Kathy was a terrific real estate agent. She helped us with finding a perfect home when we moved into the Aurora/Naperville area. Kathy listened to what we needed and wanted in a home and in a neighborhood. She matched us to a place with great schools for our kids, with a space our family needed to grow and at a price we could afford. Her local expertise regarding schools and comminities made a huge difference to helping us in a market we did not know. She also went the extra mile to preview houses, so she could make the most of our time looking at homes and select properties that had the amenties we wanted.

When we needed to sell this home for a relocation to a new market, she got our home staged and listed and sold quickly. Kathy once again did a great job listening to what we could accomplish in listing a house and made sure we could list and show the house while still living in the house. With kids, she understood how disruptive the moving process is on a family, and was great about making sure we would be okay with any showings or people coming to the house.

Overall, Kathy does a great job advocating for her clients and wants them to find the right home that makes the client happy. I would recommend Kathy for any real estate needs in the Naperville area.

We spent about 6 months with another agency before making the switch, and Kathy got it sold as promised in less than 3 months (we were under contract in less than 3 weeks!!).
