Kent is the only realtor I'd buy and sell with. Kent helped us purchase a home when we moved to Central Texas nearly ten years ago. His familiarity with neighborhoods in and around the Austin area was exceptional. He helped us find the best community and home for us. Recently we decided we wanted to move a bit further out of town and find a property with some land. Kent proved to be an asset throughout the sell and buy. We negotiated a strong deal on the purchase. He was exceptionally helpful in the sale of our home. He knew just where to invest and what to not worry about. We sold the first weekend on the market for over asking in a tough market. A few other homes on our street and many in our neighborhood were listed for months, and many of them have still not sold. He was knowledgable, friendly and upfront about the realities of the market on both sides of the transaction. I can't recommend Kent enough.

A couple months ago, in the Spring of 2023, I met Kent Redding to consider him as realtor for the sale of my home. Kent was very well informed on what was going on in the Market around Buda, as well as Austin in general. His plan to get my home out into the public eye seemed to cover all the bases. The market was uncertain and the right pricing was essential. With technology assist, he digitally inserted furniture, creating a beautiful laminated brochure that showed the home so well. Many homes in my area were sitting with for ‘sale signs’ and no action. Kent did his due diligence and came back to me with a price that made sense and I agreed. We listed the property, Kent did an open house right away and within 2 weeks I received one offer. Then while considering that, I got another offer. Of course, they bid against each other causing the sales price to go up. Kent negotiated the right terms that also eliminated some closing costs for me, which all increased the bottom line take home for me.
Meanwhile, I had moved out of state and was worried about the closing docs for me and how it would be done. Needless to say, with Kent exceptional guidance I was able to do everything on line, including the important notarized docs. And by the end of the day of closing, all the funds were deposited into my account! Everything went so smoothly from start to finish. I was totally amazed and impressed. I would recommend Kent Redding, of Wilshire Hathaway, for any property sales you may be considering. He has an entire team working under him and he really gets the job done.

I am a first-time homebuyer, and was very nervous going into this process, and more importantly with the excess of data and information available it does make the process overwhelming too. Kent met with us early on in the process to demonstrate the advantage of going with his Berkshire Hathaway agency. He did a thorough market evaluation for our relocation firm that accurately set the initial asking price. Kent was great to work with. We thought we knew what we wanted and were looking for in a home, and let him know as much. He was quick with getting custom MLS searches set up, which was hugely helpful.

Then we fell in love with a home that was in none of the areas we had identified for purchase, and was pretty much opposite of what we initially said we were looking for.

Kent pivoted, no questions asked, and made time on very short notice to go see said property.

His advice was spot-on through the whole process, which we really appreciated given we had never experienced this type of market before. He was always quick to respond, and we never had to worry about timely communications between parties.

I would hire Kent again in a heartbeat! In four days, my house had 40 showings, an open house, and 12 offers. We accepted a final offer in that short time for what we hoped. Six days before closing, my house had a major water leak in which the floors of half the house had to be replaced as well as a good bit of Sheetrock. Kent handled the buy’s concerns like a dream and negotiated a longer closing period so I could fix the house, keep the buyer, and avoid re-listing. I would be honored to work with him again.

We have LOTS of friends who are realtors and brokers, but are so thankful we asked Kent to help us. Our house was going to be a hard sell -- after 35 years of not upgrading or repairing, our house needed siding, flooring, replacement of bathrooms, and popcorn ceiling removal, not to mention being packed full of 35 years of stuff! Kent took it as a fun challenge, and put it on the market on a Monday. He was showing it on limited hours that Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Kent set the price as a flip, as we'd agreed, and 70-80 people showed up the first day. They were lined up down the street, causing Google maps to show a red traffic jam in front of our house. It even made the news! People were still in line and were turned away at the end of the day, and returned the following day. The same number came that next day, and more the third day. He told them to have their best offer in by 5 pm on the following Monday. We got over 30 offers (!!), which he carefully vetted. Kent negotiated for us, and got $500 over the full appraisal value (!!), in cash, a fast close, and we got to lease our home for free for the next month after closing! Totally amazing! Kent is knowledgeable, super friendly, and incredibly generous. He was with us at our closing to give guidance and help. He answered questions quickly by email in the process and helped us understand every step of the way. We love Kent and can't recommend him highly enough. Excellent person to assist you in selling or buying your home. Knows the Austin region well, and does his homework. He knows builders and those in real estate and works well with all. He markets your home so you'll get the best offer. Trustworthy. Simply the best!!

I recently sold my rental property in Austin. My primary residence is in New York. Kent handled the entire sale from start to finish while I remained in New York. I knew I hit the lottery with Kent when he started the ball rolling immediately. He demonstrated knowledge of the housing market and neighborhood. He priced the house to sell quickly and it certainly did. The house was on the market for 6 days and closed within 4 weeks. Kent is a great negotiator and we received a significant amount above the asking price . Kent staged the house perfectly to attract buyers and arranged the open house , despite COVID. Kent Redding is the best Realtor we have ever worked with (and we have worked with Realtors on 6 different homes now). He knows the home buying/selling process very well, he has seen it all before, and he is able to think critically and offer valuable advice for how to handle sticky situations – which invariably come up. Kent is also very forward thinking to avoid potential pitfalls before they happen – being careful to pick the right buyer (who won’t flake out a week after opening weekend), not necessarily just the highest bidder. Kent also presents a more holistic view of the home, including the neighborhood, schools, parks, etc. He gave us excellent advice for how to handle multiple offers, and with contacts and a network he was plugged into, we were under contract for tens of thousands above comparable homes in the neighborhood within 2 days of going on the market. While not all of that can be attributed to Kent alone (the home was beautifully remodeled), I believe that Kent helped us to maximize our home’s potential – and to do it quickly. In the end, we couldn’t be happier with the result. I can’t recommend Kent enough!!
