About Lisa
As a resident of Northern Virginia for over 40 years, I have seen the Route 50 corridor grow from horse farms and country stores to major shopping centers, office parks and master-planned communities.
While attending George Mason University and working in a local pizza shop, I met Margaret Whiston, who ran a floral business in Vienna, Va., who became my mentor. I knew I wanted to own my own business and always appreciated the art of gardening and arranging flowers. My business was soon launched and I concentrated on wedding floral design and high-end corporate accounts in Washington, D.C. While running that company for 21 years, I learned the importance of consistency, customer satisfaction, great service and referrals.
While I was in the floral business, I also initiated a non for-profit organization to give back to my local community. The Stone Ridge 5K Race for Education was born out of the desire to bring together all of the different communities along the Route 50 corridor that make up the Loudoun County area known as Dulles South. In an effort to fund the academic and athletic needs of new schools most affected by the growing infrastructure throughout Dulles South, we created a 5K Race and 1K Fun Run to raise money. I say we, because the backbone of the Stone Ridge 5K and its success is largely due to hundreds of fabulous volunteers! Since 2005, the race has donated almost $100,000 to the local schools in the South Riding area. This year’s race is Oct 13. Please join us for a great cause … our students!
With the race in high gear, I was approached by a number of different national builders in the area about coming to work for them in sales. Since I have a huge interest in remodeling, construction, decorating and the buying of real estate for investment, I thought it sounded liked a perfect opportunity! After working alongside some of the most profitable and respected builders in Northern Virginia for nearly four years, I have developed a true desire to link buyers and sellers with the right property for their wants and needs. I enjoy meeting new people each day and assisting them in one of the most important transactions they will make in their lifetimes.
“Love what you do and it won’t feel like work” is the best mantra I can think of that describes my outlook on life. There is no better feeling than to have clients so pleased about their experience that they can’t wait to tell their family and friends.
Then, and only then, will I know I have done a great job!
When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family — my husband Marc, our daughters Erika and Carleigh and our son Jackson (not to mention our two labs Shelby and Devon) and great friends — enjoying the beauty of Northern Virginia and all that this area has to offer.
