I first used Matt in 2002. He listed our house, had a buyer immediately upon listing, showed us new homes, and we had a contract on our new home, all in less than one week. He is more concerned with finding the right fit for his clients rather than just selling any old house to anyone. I first heard about Matt on the Danny Glover show. I had just been notified I had been transferred and we needed to sell our home. Here's my advice: Hire Matt and then communicate with his assistant Michelle. Matt is good at answering emails, great at answering his phone, but Michelle is awesome from start to finish, irrespective of the issue or mode of communication. She helped me with EVERYTHING, including getting me a handyman to fix a few things the buyers wanted fixed. Because of her help, I basically had to do nothing but the paperwork all sellers have to complete. She did the rest, and she did it quickly and very, very well. She even alerted me when my male cat was scaring off prospective buyers, and made some great suggestions how to resolve it. She did an amazing job at negotiating with the Buyers Agent and was unbelievably knowledgeable on how to make them happy without spending all my equity. I couldn't be happier with how the sale went.

Finding a good Realtor can be an intimidating process. We interviewed several top rated Realtor and the decision to go with Matt was very easy. Just from our interview, it was obvious that Matt understands real estate. He came prepared with data that supports his approach to selling. It is important to find an agent that understands how people find houses these days. Matt effectively uses technology to sell your home. His homes are featured prominently on sites such as Zillow and Trulia. When we mentioned we were seeing a fair number of people parking outside our home, he responded by putting up a text service that would provide details on our home. He also made effective use of a company to setup listings. We could simply respond via text message in order to confirm showings. We received weekly reports from the major realty sites with statistics in terms of search results and specific home views. We also received prompt feedback from each showing. Matt was also able to go through our house and recommend changes necessary to more effectively stage our home. We implemented his recommendations, and we received very positive comments about the appearance of the house. We were considering more changes, but from his experience, he steered us away from those changes that wouldn't help sell the house. Other realtors provided similar inputs, but no one else demonstrated the care or knowledge that Matt showed. Matt tells you why one change is good while another is unimportant. We also used Matt as a buyer's agent. He provides great insights into each home we viewed. He is very knowledgeable of each neighborhood we went to and could easily compare and contrast between each. Matt truly shined in listening to our likes and dislikes and adjusted accordingly. We spent hours online searching, but ultimately, he found the house we fell in love with. Because of Matt's expertise and breadth of knowledge, he is able to keep ahead of potential problems. For example, he recommended early on that we check our roof for hail damage -- given recent hail storms early in the year. We were able to work the repairs through our insurance well before the house sold. Additionally, because he previously had experience as a broker, he was able to give us a 'heads up' very early on in our loan process. He knew the lender, and knew they would be difficult to get to close on time (not because of our credit worthiness, but because of how picky they are known to be). Because of the attentiveness, we were able to close on time. Matt has a great network of people he works with. He was able to recommend an insurance agent (we were dissatisfied with our existing agent) and a contractor for general repairs. After a great deal of searching, I was not able to beat the prices from either of his people. Throughout the whole process, Matt was super responsive. The number he gives you rings direct to his cell phone. He responds quickly to text and email. I don't know how he juggles all his clients, because the service we received was as if we were his only client. I know he had quite a number of clients - in fact, he had multiple closings the same days as ours. Matt will provide you guidance, but will stand behind you throughout the process. He is very organized, and really wants to find the right home for you (and sell your home). If you contact him, you will understand why he's got such great reviews. I couldn't give him a higher recommendation.
