Michele and the Tanner Group are AMAZING. Not only is the team helpful to the community, they are also so knowledgeable about anything real estate related. The Tanner Group is also extremely knowledgable about waterfront properties, new construction, downtown, investment properties. Tanner Group covers all areas in Sarasota and Manatee County, they would be my highest recommendation to help you find a team that works hard for you. Don't forget about island properties in Long Boat Key, and Siesta Key!! They are super personable and they can be trusted, all they want to do is help! Michelle and her team were referred to me by an agent in VA. When I met with Michelle, I told her I was looking for a teammate who could help me with some challenges and logistics of selling a house in Ft Myers while living in Virginia. She was the PERFECT teammate, I seriously couldn’t have asked for better. She gave great advice on prepping the house, and handled the logistics of carpet installers and painters. Moving from one state to another is already stressful enough, but Michele made purchasing a house here in Florida so pleasant. Her attention to detail and knowledge of the area are top notch. Not to mention her out of the box thinking and negotiating skills! Her and her staff (Skyler) go above and beyond and you can honestly tell how much they care about you and your family. We do not think of Michele as just our real estate agent, but a new friend as well! I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

As a long-time resident of the planet (70+), I have lived numerous places in the US and overseas, which has necessitated many moves and accompanying real estate transactions; during all the time, I have never met an agent as effective and responsive as Michelle Tanner, here in Sarasota.
Her primary attribute (in addition to her in depth knowledge of local market and conditions?): she listens. When she offered her thoughts on a price for our condo, we disagreed. She didn’t argue but did further research based on our comments and we picked a better (i.e. higher) number, which we achieved. Part of this was price, but the rest was marketing: she knows the market and the video she produced made it an easy sale.
She also found our new home in downtown Sarasota, and the reason she did so? Because she listened to what we wanted and found that place for us. We were spared the agony of weeks of fruitless time-wasting searches.
All real estate transactions encounter their share of hiccups and ours (both buying and selling) were no exception. Michelle was right there with us as we worked through the various impediments that arose; my wife was so impressed with Michelle’s work that she announced she was going to do whatever Michelle recommended, regardless! I am not sure I would totally sign up for that but I must say she was certainly there for us through the whole process.
Finally, my wife and I both agree that Michelle is fundamentally a genuine person who will succeed when you succeed. She has my highest praise.

AMAZING .... That's what Michele is! We are relocating from NY. We met Michele a few years back and even told her we weren't ready to make the move yet, and she was kind enough to spend an entire day showing us around to get a feel for the areas. Fast forward about 2 years, we were ready to take the plunge, so we flew down and she found us our waterfront dream house. She shined throughout the negotiations and closing process (she even negotiated that the sellers leave their kayaks and surprised us with it :-). She was always available when needed, great communication and execution. Then came closing day .... our lender kept telling us things would be ready, but we kept waiting and waiting. Michele knew we had to catch a flight back to NY the next day and it HAD to get done that day! So Michele, being the get-it-done kind of woman that she is, had us drive to the closing company and we sat in the parking lot until the paperwork was emailed over, so we could close. It was a stressful day (due to our lender - NOT Michelle), and Michele made us margaritas in the parking lot while we waited! It was the perfect thing to take the edge off and it also made for a really fun story. The paperwork was finally sent at 5:01 pm (they closed at 5:00), but Michele had the foresight to know that if we were there waiting, that they'd take care of us. There are some good agents out there, and there are some really bad ones ... Michele is neither ... she is in a category of her own .... SIMPLY AMAZING!

What can we say about Michele & her team but WOW!! Just WOW! We started the journey to buy our dream home on the coast of Florida over 2 years ago and that's how we met Michele. I was reluctant to ask her to show us houses knowing we would not be ready for at least 2 years and did not want to waster her time, but she treated us like we were her only clients from our first meeting. For over 2 years she would send us houses and even go and look at them for us as we were in NY. When the time came to make an offer, she was incredible. Even in this red hot market we were able to buy at $300K below asking! (unheard of in 2021) We are real estate investors so this was not our first rodeo. Actually we have done hundreds of deals and worked with hundreds of agents so when we say she was great... it should mean something! We have a perspective most don't. She was terrific during negotiations, and more importantly though the entire process of buying our dream home. Closing week and closing day was a total mess because of our lender, but Michele stayed cool and calm (not so true for us!) She was the voice of reason and stayed by our side until it was done and beyond. She even parked us outside the title company office so when the docs were in we would not miss our chance to close that day! (Which happened after 5:00) and she even had celebratory drinks ready to roll! :-) Brilliant plan by Michele or the closing would not have happened that day and would have caused a total mess for all of us, but her smart thinking under pressure made it happen. We feel like we did not just find and agent, we made a new friend and will be forever grateful to Michele and for her help in buying our dream home. If you want the best....stop reading and reach out to her ASAP, you will be so happy that you did. I know we are. Thanks Michele! See you on the water!

As first-time home-buyers, Michele was so encouraging and intuitively understood our concerns and desires as we went through the process of seeking out the home that was going to be right for us. When we finally found the right place, we were ready! Our offer was submitted and accepted within 48 hours of our first visit to the home. But it wasn't until we were in the inspection period that we saw Michele's true value as a negotiator. The home inspection exposed a number of problems with the home that might have made it impossible to move forward. But she worked so deftly with the sellers that we were able to get everything we needed and wanted from the deal, including a new roof and restored fireplace! Throughout the process she was professional, knowledgeable, and confident that we would come out on the best possible side of the transaction. We've been in our home for 7 months now, and we couldn't be more happy. We highly recommend Michele Tanner, she works diligently for all her clients.

I purchased a home in North Port, Florida in 2009 through Michelle Tanner. After my wife passed in 2018, I asked Michelle to sell the home for me. She listed it one day, sold it the next and I had the proceeds in my bank in Michigan 12 days later!!!!! Not every one can expect those results, but you can EXPECT THE BEST from Michelle Tanner.
