Paul Lester has long been recognized as one of the most successful, active, and celebrated members of the Los Angeles real estate community. Over the course of his more than 20-year career, Paul has sold more than $1.2 billion in residential real estate, which he credits to his thriving referral network. Among his numerous awards and accolades, Paul ranks #66 in the nation on the REAL Trends/Wall Street Journal’s 2019 list, has been named one of Los Angeles Magazine’s 2020 Real Estate All-Stars and among the 2019 Los Angeles Business Journal’s 75 most influential real estate agents.
Working alongside his business partner of more than 15 years, Aileen Comora, Paul provides his clients with diligent, honest, energetic, and straightforward service through every step of the buying and selling process. Based in The Agency’s Beverly Hills headquarters, Paul’s nuanced market expertise covers Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills Post Office, Bel Air, West Hollywood, Sunset Hills, Los Feliz, the Wilshire District, Westwood, Santa Monica, Malibu, Santa Barbara, and Montecito. Paul has overseen some of the most prestigious sales in each neighborhood, thanks in part to his careful attention to detail and concierge-style client service.
Now residing full-time in Los Angeles, Paul has spent time living and working on nearly every continent in the world. Prior to launching his career in real estate, Paul graduated from Wesleyan University in Connecticut in 1982 with three degrees: English, History, and Dance Performance Studies. He studied further at NYU Tisch School of the Arts before becoming a full-time professional dancer. His career included working and studying with many formative choreographers of the time, including Twyla Tharp, Bill T Jones, Dan Wagoner, Merce Cunningham, and Paul Taylor. While based in New York, his performance career spanned more than 14 years and took him all over the world.
When not touring real estate with his clients, Paul devotes his time to supporting the arts. He serves on the Board of Directors of BODYTRAFFIC, a world-class, Los Angeles-based, contemporary dance company. Paul is also a founding member of Desert X in Palm Springs, which creates recurring contemporary art exhibitions by acclaimed international artists that respond meaningfully to their desert locations, the environment, and indigenous communities, as well as support cultural exchange and educational programs. Paul is also a devoted sponsor of The Lange Foundation, an animal rescue, care, and placement organization in Los Angeles County.
