About Renee

Hello, I am a native of Macon County and have extensive roots in the WNC area.  My ancestry dates back over 200 years to the founding of Western North Carolina. I attended Southwestern Community College, where I earned dual degrees in Surveying Technology and Civil Engineering Technology. I became a licensed North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor in 2010 and hold a Notary Public for NC, both of which I still practice today. I attended Cumbie & Trull School of Real Estate in Asheville prior to acquiring my North Carolina Real Estate Broker license in 2012. I was the 2016 Realtor of the Year for Carolina Smokies Association of Realtors. I was also the 2015 & 2016 President for the Carolina Smokies Association of Realtors. In 2016 I began teaching NC Real Estate Pre-
licensing and Post licensing for my alma mater. I am the Owner & Broker-in-Charge for Legacy Properties by Renee, LLC, which I opened in 2017. I am a graduate of the 2018 class of the William C. Bass Leadership Academy with NC REALTORS®, which enhanced my leadership abilities and allows me to represent our WNC realtor area. Since then, I have served as NC REALTORS® Region 9 Vice twice and now serve as NCREALTORS® Treasurer. In this position I chair the Budget & Finance Committee, the Investment Committee and serve on several others. I remain involved with the North Carolina Society of Surveyors, the local Nantahala Chapter of the organization, as well as continued leadership at my local realtor association. I am the proud mother of three beautiful grown children, Zachary, Lindsay and Julie. I enjoy gardening, hiking, sewing, reading, genealogy, learning, teaching and traveling. I am currently campaigning for the position of NCREALTORS 1st Vice President. If elected I will serve as President in 2028. It is an honor and a pleasure to assist those looking to buy and sell real estate. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
