About Richard
I have been involved in the real estate business since 1992, when I received a Real Estate Specialization Certificate in Paralegal Studies from the University of West Los Angeles; along with certifications in corporations, litigation, and as a legal assistant. After finishing Paralegal school, I worked in a small Beverly Hills law firm where, I assisted with residential, and commercial transactions, commercial leases, as well as other legal matters.
I am a real estate investor, and have been a landlord, managing my own properties, for more than twelve years. Since becoming a Realtor, I have been involved in many different aspects of the real estate business. While most of my transactions have involved selling homes to individuals, I have also sold land, as well commercial properties, and have worked with several real estate investors, involving many different aspects of the real estate business.
I did different things before becoming a Realtor, nearly seven years in the military, four years as a Police Officer, ten years as a Paralegal, Director of Operations, and later, Director of Special Operations in a private investigation firm, and eighteen years as a truck driver, pulling chemical tankers. I believe my experience helps me to connect with people on a personal level, as I have experience with speaking to people from a wide range of walks of life. Something that almost everyone comments on is that I am not what they envision as the typical Realtor. I drive a truck, and dress casually. For me, it’s truly about helping my clients. I take someone’s trust in helping them seriously and do everything I can to ensure that their trust has been well placed. I also pride myself upon always being available to those I have been entrusted to serve.
Whenever speaking with someone, I listen intently, as I want to take in everything they have to say; something that I believe is extremely important for anyone wishing to serve others. Something that is important to me is that everyone I have the privilege of working with is able to make well informed decisions.
