My son, Cole, is 27 and on active duty in the Air National Guard. He is an Instructor Boom Operator air-refueling airplanes. My beautiful daughter, Claire, 13, passed away in February 2016.
I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but moved frequently, attending 9 schools in 12 years! After high school, I worked at Disney World until joining the Air Force as a Security Policeman.
After the Air Force, I graduated from UNC/Asheville with a B.S. degree in Business. While there, I was an extra in the movie Dirty Dancing! :)
In 1990, I became a manager at The Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC., responsible for all guest relations departments. My focus was on excellent customer service. I also taught computer classes at a community college in Asheville.
After four years at the hotel, I was offered the position of East Coast Customer Service Manager and Traffic Manager for Gerber Baby Foods. To familiarize myself with the trucking end of the business, I enrolled in tractor/trailer driving school and earned my CDL.
I married in 1996 and had two children. I stayed home for 20 years homeschooling both of my children. After my daughter passed away, I decided to pursue another career. Considering my strengths and personality, I decided on a real estate career. Then in June 2018, my real estate partner and I purchased RE/MAX Elite in Mt. Vernon, IL.
I now want to focus my attention on working solely with buyers and sellers, so I no longer own and manage a brokerage. I look forward to helping you through the process! Robin
