Shanna Wiseman

Shanna Story began her career in real estate at the age of sixteen at Parr & Abernathy Realty, Inc., serving as an office runner, creating marketing flyers for sales agents, and answering phones. Even at such a young age, Shanna realized serving the public in helping them find a home would be her calling. Shanna was hired full-time as the Property Manager at Parr & Abernathy Realty, Inc. In May 2000. She is a 1996 graduate of Hopewell High School and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics from George Mason University in 2000.

She has been a licensed sales agent since 1998 and a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Virginia Association of REALTORS®, and the Southside Virginia Association of REALTORS® since 2000. Shanna was named the recipient of the 2010 Anne Swearingen Property Manager of the Year Award by the Virginia Association of REALTORS®. She has been recognized annually by the Southside Virginia Association of REALTORS, SVAR, for her expertise in the industry and received the Hopewell-Prince George Chamber of Commerce Leadership Award. Shanna is a graduate of the 2006 Class of the Virginia Leadership Academy. She was the President of SVAR in 2008, and President of the Central Virginia Regional MLS in 2012 and has served on many boards, committees, and commissions. Shanna obtained her Associate Broker’s license in 2017. In 2020, Shanna received her Property Manager certification from VAR. She currently sits on the City of Hopewell Economic Development Authority. In continuing the legacy of Parr & Abernathy Realty, Inc., and all she learned over the years from her mentors, the late Donald W. Parr and Elizabeth M. Abernathy, Shanna became the new Broker/Owner on January 1, 2021.
