Shannon Thomas

Recently named Sales Associate of the Year and benefiting from over a decade of experience, it’s not surprising that Shannon is consistently among the top 5% of local agents in volume and number of sales. It is, however, especially noteworthy because Shannon’s business relies solely on referrals from past clients. One of the best compliments Shannon has received was overheard at a party when a client described her to a friend as “she was my Realtor and I would trust her with my life.” This compliment exemplifies Shannon’s approach to her career with an unwavering focus on her client’s best interest and the belief that their needs deserve to be truly heard and protected. Shannon’s commitment to her clients does not end after the real estate transaction. She is a lifelong resource offering guidance and recommendations to her clients on everything from electricians to the best brunch spots in town and, of course, their first call when it’s time to move again.

Shannon stays involved in CAAR and received the President’s Award for her efforts in diversity, equity, and inclusion. She’s committed to her community and is a big proponent of “give where you live”. Shannon donates a significant portion of her earnings each year to local charities like the UVA Children’s Hospital, Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, Hospice of the Piedmont, SARA, The How’s Project, Music Resource Center, Women United in Philanthropy, Stepping Stones, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Virginia.

What many people don’t know is that Shannon has a Master’s Degree in Biopsychology and a minor in statistics. She’s even published in a few scientific journals. She loves numbers and spreadsheets but when she’s not working you’ll find her enjoying local dining, shows, and vineyards with her family and friends.
