Shelly Novotny

I am a self starter who enjoys the "hustle bustle" of real estate.  As a retired teacher and one who strives for success, I know how to work hard to get deals to completion. My strengths are knowing the area, knowing the market, great listening skills, and I have a good understanding of people. I am always eager to take on new listings and to show each house that comes on the market.

I currently service Charlevoix, Petoskey, East Jordan, Ellsworth, Mancelona, Harbor Springs, Bellaire, and all surrounding areas. Let me use my ten years of experience to help you sell or find the "perfect fit" home where you can create memories for a lifetime.

I currently reside in Charlevoix with my husband Jeff and our mini golden doodle Nellie.  We are parents to three Charlevoix graduates (Chandler, Raigan, and Payton) who are spread between Grand Rapids and Traverse City.  We are also Grammy and Pop Pop to an amazing granddaughter Kennedy.

I have an undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University in Reading and Child Development and a Masters degree from Michigan State University in Curriculum. I retired from Charlevoix Public Schools where I taught and was lucky enough to be involved in everything from sports to planning events. I have had my real estate license and have been a practicing realtor for ten years.

In my free time, I enjoy decorating, walking, boating, flowers, crafts, and every type of social event.
