Steve Silbar is a dedicated and relationship-focused real estate broker serving Spokane, North Spokane, Five-Mile, South Hill, and Liberty Lake. Licensed since 2016, Steve brings a servant-leader philosophy to every client relationship, backed by decades of high-level sales, marketing, and leadership experience.

With specialties in luxury properties, relocation, investment portfolios, first-time buyers, listings, move-up buyers, and downsizing transitions, Steve is known for his strong communication, exceptional marketing approach, and deep local knowledge. Prior to real estate, Steve spent more than 20 years in hotel sales and marketing leadership at property, regional, and corporate levels, including roles as Director of Sales & Marketing and Regional Director of Sales & Marketing. He later transitioned into technology sales and marketing, serving as Regional and National Sales Manager in the electronic locking industry, where he led a team of 12 field managers across the U.S. and Canada. Steve also served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for three start-up tech companies. One of his standout accomplishments includes negotiating and closing the first fee-based digital hotel entertainment system at a 5-star Southern California resort—the first of its kind to become revenue-generating.

Steve’s deep ties to greater Spokane shape both his business and personal life. Outdoors, he enjoys hiking, skiing, walking, and golfing on the area’s excellent courses. A passionate sports fan, he supports the Mariners, Seahawks, Kraken, Zags, and—thanks to his Chicago roots—the Cubs and White Sox. Music is one of his lifelong passions: his first concert was the Jackson Five, and he has attended more than 500 live shows. Travel is another major part of his life; he has visited 47 states and numerous international destinations. His favorite travel experiences include cruising from Venice and Rome to Greece, exploring Italy and ancient ruins, visiting Hong Kong and China, visiting New Orleans, and running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain

Family is at the center of everything Steve does. He is a proud father of three children, an amazing daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter he adores. His son also served proudly as Butch T. Cougar, WSU’s beloved mascot, for two years. Steve is a dog lover and shares his home with Riley, his sweet 14-year-old pup.

In the community, Steve serves as President of the Mead Education Foundation and volunteers at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. He is also active locally—enjoying area parks, the river, axe-throwing, Spokane Chiefs hockey (as a season ticket holder), Spokane Indians baseball, and Spokane’s vibrant live music scene.
