Armed with a marketing degree from Radford University and experience in sales, he is passionate about doing the Right Thing for his clients and putting their interests first. A lifelong resident of Northern Virginia (born and still residing in Vienna), his knowledge of the area is put to beneficial use for his clients' benefit. He and his wife, Dana have raised three children who graduated from Madison High School in Vienna. All of which are still in college (two at VA Tech and 1 at University of Tennessee). Community involvement is a core value that he learned from his father. Tom has coached many different teams through the years...from Little League Baseball and Basketball to Travel Soccer, Lacrosse, and Football. You might have even heard him announce a few high school lacrosse games at Madison HS (boys and girls). His kids have all "graduated" the youth programs years ago, but his involvement continues today with his active involvement as a Vienna Youth Inc. volunteer - currently on the Lacrosse Board, Girls Coordinator, Girls Coach, and long-standing member of the Vienna Steelers Youth Football coaching staff.

Hanton Properties handled the sale of my home within a few months of my wife’s passing. Not only did Tom Hanton provide outstanding advice to assist me in preparing the house for sale he was and continues to be a valued friend. He priced the house fairly and I received an offer above market. The closing process was very straightforward. Tom knows the market and I recommend him highly.

Tom Hanton went above and beyond for me throughout my home buying process. Since I was a first time homebuyer, he went out of his way to ensure I understood the buying process and felt comfortable with my decisions. Tom remained patient and always answered any questions I had along the way. He even connected me with a great lender that offered me an interest rate well below other lenders in the area. In the end, he found the PERFECT home for me and negotiated a deal that was accepted in this crazy real estate market. From the start of my search to closing on my home, he was there every step of the way and made buying a home in these crazy times so much easier.
