The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Rondout was a good school in my opinion. Things like a fun atmosphere and the student's best interests made my time there enjoyable. There were some unfair things like leniency to not following rules to some people and not others and teachers having favorites since it is such a small town. The amount of effort you put in is the amount of effort you will get back from teachers, but they are always willing to help if you are willing to ask.

I like how the teachers are always willing to give a helping hand, and the fellow students are not so bad. There's not much diversity and some of the resources offered are not very effective.

Pros: - Most of the teachers are friendly - Very active sport teams - Great music classes Cons: - Lack of clubs and they also receive very little funding - Does next to nothing for teaching students about the real world - Lackluster administration - Does next to nothing about bullying - Absolutely abysmal food

Some of the teachers were amazing and taught very well. While others were imcompetant and didn't teach well at all leaving many of us having to teach our selves the material in order to have a chance of passing the regents. The bullying in this school has also gotten out of hand and no one seems to...

This high school school has a wonderful teaching staff. The highlights are music (both band and chorus), ceramics and photography, Science Research, and the math department. I think the school is very successful judging by student achievement. The principal is lacking in communication skills, leader...

This school seems to approach a more do-it-yourself attitude, the students are lest to for the most part teach themselves, and also fend for themselves against the gang violence that has plauged the school for a while now. The failure rate is above state average, but the ones that excell are very in...
