the community aspect of PWS is the best part. the academics are unique (in a good way), and the teachers all go above and beyond to care about their students and classes.

In the 5 years that I have been going to Pasadena Waldorf, a bad experience is rare. I would not want to see much changed. The only thing would be more class variety, but it's hard with a small school.

It's really liberal and a really tough workload, but it's so small that everyone knows everyone and it's very nice, reassuring, when you can call a person by their first name even if you are 3 grades apart.

Our son visited Pasadena High School earlier this year and was so smitten that he decided to transfer in mid-year in eighth graade. Indoctrination, lack of natural sciences, poor math level, bad equipment. Not for someone who wants to get a solid math/physics education, but it is good for artists.
