Teachers were helpful and resourceful, but administration and officials were not always the most understanding and helpful with letting me know about deadlines, including the Bright Futures scholarship. Teachers took SAT and ACT prep into their own hands to help children excel in those subjects for a better college application.

I think Brantley is one of those schools where you need to have connections. Of course, it's important to have connections anywhere in life whether you are a student or worker, but I say this for Brantley specifically because it can be very easy to just be.. lost when you don't have anyone to turn to (and that is if you get one of the good guidance counselors). The school dedicates a lot more time to its athletics so I'd love to see a change in that, where more attention is giving to the fine arts or even literature/writing. I would say they try their best in preparing their students for college as they begin college information sessions in your sophomore or junior year.

Students are mean, they bully, they are horrible to one another. No one cares about academics. Math teachers and biology teachers done care. No one disciplines anyone.
