GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part of Amherst High School is how friendly all of the students and teachers are. You also learn a lot, and the teachers teach the classes fun. The worst part though is the cafeteria food. There isn't a lot of selection and the food doesn't taste the greatest.

A rather good school with a wide class variety. I do believe that there are some classes that should be required that aren't, and there are definitely some departments that need improvement. Athletes are favored over other students, and athletics are favored over academics. However, academics still manage to keep up.

Very nice small school that is connected to the elementary and middle school. The teachers are very nice and a great community. The only thing I didn't like was how much some of the people don't include outsiders.
