GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It was a great experience and offered resources to achieve all my future goals. The staff were really nice and friendly.

I really enjoyed my 4 years at John Hersey High School. I currently take honors and AP classes which I feel have prepared me for my college journey. I feel very safe at my school which is very important! There are so many different classes offered and I even was part of an internship in software engineering. I really don't feel anything has to change.

The changing of 2 principals within 4 years is concerning. Block schedule mirror college but this is high school and students should be in school majority of day. Math teachers are exceptional.

The best public high school. The prepared both my sons for college, one entered the Kelly Business school at Indiana University (I.U.).The other at the University of California (Berkley) Chemical Engineering (Cal).Great Teachers and neighborhood support.

Two kids and have nothing but praise and respect for the school, teachers and adminstration. Focus is on making kids successful as they move on whether they go to college or something else. Kids leave Hersey prepared for life and better people.
