Really enjoyed the school, decent access to AP classes, many devoted teachers. I was able to explore a wide variety of subjects and interests through my classes and extracurriculars.

I transferred to Asheville High my Senior year from a college prep school. I was disappointed with how my credits transferred, but I understand that the curriculum was different.

I enjoy how the admin accepts the student body and allows them to express themselves in positive ways. I would like to see the school board accept the student body more and ask for their opinions more often. Overall I think the educators are great and if they had higher pay they would stay for longer.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. They are unsupportive of students and parents. When you ask for help on how to use tools like Canvas, they will not respond, even when asked several times. As a parent you will have a hard time getting direct communication from the Guidance Counselors. They are too busy...

I I am a senior Asheville high school and can honestly say that this is an amazing school, they offer the avid program which is very beneficial for students who want to prepare for college. They will take a good care of their own! Politics and low integrity can lead to low motivation and self-esteem, which is the opposite of what they promise. It is bad that we entrust the most precious in our lives - our children whom they can inflict life long damage.
