Founded in 1975, Sandy Springs Middle School provides an enriching educational environment for close to 1,000 sixth through eighth grade students. This charter school operates with interdisciplinary team teaching, which helps give students more opportunities to learn at their own pace. In addition to coursework in traditional subjects, students also choose from Connections courses, which include performing and visual arts, broadcasting, engineering, health and physical education. Students can also learn French, Spanish or Latin. Academic, social, and athletic clubs provide opportunities for students to develop social, leadership and teamwork skills. Students can join a band, explore robotics or journalism, or get creative in art club. The Sandy Springs Middle School Stallions compete in all major sports, so there’s something to do in every season. Students can also run cross country or track, play football or soccer or cheer for the Stallions on the cheerleading squad.

I love the diversity at Sandy Springs Middle school. It shows within the student body, athletic team, and the staff. Once employed, I was welcomed with open arms, my mistakes were easily corrected by constructive criticisms, and over all the climate and cultural has been set and followed on a daily basis.

DO NOT EVER SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. Your kids will be physically beaten day in and day out, and the staff will do absolutely nothing about it. In fact, the staff will lie to the parents and say nothing is going on. DONT. DO. IT.

Bullying is a major problem at this school and not much is done about it besides a few days of in-school susp...
