GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part of my experience was making all of my new friends. The student population here is very high so there are plenty of opportuniteis to make friends.

My overall experience with Westa Aurora high school has been positive. There are many AP courses available to students, as well as extracurriculars and sports. The school administration and teachers make sure highschoolers are getting ready to apply for colleges/trade schools/higher education throughout all four years and they help educate students on FAFSA, private loans, and grants.

I transferred to West Aurora High School from a small town to the south when I was beginning my freshman year. I did volleyball, choir, French honors society, national honors society, Chess Team, Honors and AP classes, and I also spent my Junior year abroad in France as a Rotary Exchange Student. I have nothing but great things to say about West. You get out what you put in. Don't let the ratings fool you. The diverse population of students only adds to its attractiveness.
