Holy Family Catholic School is an accredited pre-K through 8th grade private school on 20 acres in North Austin. At Holy Family, students learn to work hard, strive for excellence and live their faith. The school’s challenging curriculum is aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills – or TEKS. But at Holy Family, scholarship is only the beginning. Daily prayer, weekly Mass and religious studies create a strong faith culture and close-knit community. When it comes to extracurricular pursuits, students at Holy Family have many choices. The school’s visual arts, drama and music programs allow students to explore their creative passions. Student Council, Boy and Girl Scouts, ballet and a championship robotics team, are among the school’s many available after-school activities. Upper school students can participate in competitive athletics, including volleyball, flag football, basketball, tennis, soccer, golf and track. In the Lectio Reading Program, a now nationwide program founded by a former Holy Family librarian, 4th through 8th graders earn awards for recreational reading. Competitive academics, opportunities for enrichment and Catholic identity make Holy Family Catholic School a distinguished choice for parochial education in North Austin.

Attending Holy Family has been such a blessing for our family. From the academics, to faith being a big part of the classroom and culture at HFCS, it has shaped our son to be the wonderful, smart and caring person he is today. Chaplain services, athletics, the wonderful PA association...there are just too many blessings to list. The parent community at the school is amazing and there are so many events for the students and the parents to experience together.

The information here is outdated. This school costs almost $10k/year now, and they are willing to pack up to 25 kids in a classroom if they can get that many to apply. There are so many problems here over the last 3 years, we are praying things improve so we don't have to change schools.

Holy Family Catholic School is true to Catholic Doctrine and for the most part a faithful community. Unfortunately, academics, specifically curriculum and instruction are lacking. There are no remediation or enrichment opportunities for students at either end of the spectrum of learning. They follow the TEKS and the new administration relies heavily on standardized tests.

I've been contemplating how to review this school for some time now, because within my own family we've had very mixed experiences. One of my children happens to luck out and get excellent teachers every year, and they are also gifted with a natural ability to learn easily and to be self-motivated....

We have three children at HFCS—kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 6th grade—and we have been extremely pleased with our experience. Our kids are not only happy but also thriving in their learning. What matters most to us is that they feel safe and are growing in their faith. We are so grateful for the ded...

This school has some lovely teachers who work very hard. Unfortunately, it does continue to have turnover due to leadership issues. I highly recommend proceeding with caution, especially if you have children that do not learn easily in their own. Each year is a gamble as to whether or not your child...

I have been a member of St. Vincent de Paul for nine years and have two young children at HFCS. I couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience.HFCS staff are deeply rooted in faith. If you seek a school that feels like family, you’ll immediately sense the warmth and care when you step on campus. I’...
