Avon Old Farms School was an amazing experience for my two sons. The faculty are the most amazing group of professionals who care genuinely about their students. The caring and attentive environment allows boys to learn in a supportive community that celebrates differences and fosters personal responsibility. The foundation that was laid during those four years at AOF gave my sons the ability to be successful in college and beyond.

Avon understands young men and meets them where they are, like no other school. Focusing on character development, in a supportive and safe environment. They do an amazing job of keeping the outside world "noise" out so young men can thrive and grow. My son was so prepared for College and more importantly launched a successful business career and he gives Avon credit for his success.

It is a great sports school and a mid-academic school with a beautiful campus. If you apply yourself, you will succeed. Administration is questionable, and several teachers are alums who have no background in their subject. I was also lied to numerous times by an admissions director (won't name), who never came through with any promises he made. Privileged party school with a work hard, play hard mentality. If you like SMU, UMiami, or UTampa, this is your school, not for Ivy League chasers.

My son attended for a PG year. He was young for his grade and needed the extra year of maturity before college. AOF was a great experience academically and morally

Avon has a unique culture that fosters tight bonds between students and teachers. The teachers are involved in every aspect of the students life. The school has also done any outstanding job with character development. Boys understand what it means to be a great stuart of society. You can feel this...

My son was challenged to become his best at AOF. He entered as a solid B student, and a vision of himself as a "B" person, good but not great. He left Avon for an ivy league school as not only a scholar, but a leader. He made lifelong friends, learned community spirit and developed a passion for lea...

Terrific school that provided a nurturing community, challenging academics (but with the support to succeed in them), and excellent college counseling. The faculty are not just teachers but also mentors. And the "all boy" facet is definitely an advantage--they like boys, know how they act and how th...
