GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Being a transfer student meant an overall new environment. Transferring to chesapeake allowed me to become more active in school & want to learn more. I had amazing teachers & I can wholeheartedly say I wish I was there my first two years of high school.

Due to only being in the school building for 3 years of the 4 because of covid, I would say the school atmosphere is a nice environment to be around. The high school experience at Chesapeake was just a rollercoaster of emotions. Over the years the school helped me grow a lot, while also aiding me in finding my own path. As a student there were challenging moments, and lots of memories worth remembering. But I can definitely say that this school has help mold me into the individual I am today.

When they fight the administrators are right there to break it up. The food is horrible and the kids are mainly minorities.

I've been to over 5 schools throughout my life, and this one was truly the harshest and worst experience I've had. Underqualified teachers. Over authoritative administrators.

Horrible. I have had four children in school systems across the country. This by far is the absolute worse school and school system I have ever had to deal with. They are too concentrated on getting funds that the child’s best interest is not at the center. They protect bullies, including their own...
