Western Tech has an abundance of resources especially for health and environmental science magnets, because they are able to participate in animal dissections, labs with live animals, etc. It also prepares students well for college. However, the workload is unnecessary and many of the teachers are unpleasant to work with.

My experience as of now is pretty good. I have had a few teachers that could use a little more improvement on their teaching, but it's nothing that working with my fellow classmates and more practice can't help.

Western Tech is a very academically oriented school. The teachers, especially for AP classes, are very well-versed in their subjects and are dedicated to helping students grow. In terms of sports, our track, soccer, and basketball teams are among the best in the county. However, there is not much emphasis on schoolwide events like assemblies, which I would like to see changed.

The students are super polite as students go. The faculty is collegial. The administration is very supportive of the school. It's quite competitive to get in. Western Tech is a great school academically. Western is a magnet school. The courses are challenging, but not unbearably hard.
