GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Woodlawn has a lot of flaws but it mainly has to due with issues that stem from the students and not the staff/faculty. The upkeep of the facilities could be better and the administrators are great as far as I know.

I would like to see change in the food because its barely edible but the teachers are alright they're pretty easy to talk to their are some exceptions to that but by time you reach senior year you should find yourself liking majority of them

Woodlawn High is a good school with good sports for students to participate in and get involved with. The lessons are good and the teachers teach well if the class as a whole participate. The students make the school the way it is and the reputation that follow it as a whole. I enjoyed my time there especially with the Early College Program they have which allows students to take college classes while in high school. Woodlawn is not a bad school and has potential but the environment and students who attend would need to be better for the school to be better.

This school has been beautifully renovated. Administration is responsive and supportive. The principal is active and accessible. Woodlawn has a lot of hidden gems with new programs, sports teams, and staff. So much has improved here in recent years.

I attended 10th-12th grade and graduated in 1996. All 3 years we were given the answers for the Maryland State tests. The test answers are multiple choice 1 finger was A, 2 fingers B and so on. I can't speak on what goes on there today however, now as a parent it's been a priority for my children no...

I attended Woodlawn for 10th- 12th grade. I graduated in 2005. In my opinion Woodlawn was not a good school. I transferred from a private school and a lot of what was being taught in the 10th grade there were things I learned in middle school. A number of students, more than expected, could not even...

Woodlawn was a great experience for me. What I see is parents/guardians blaming adminstration and teachers for problems that students have. Woodlawn has always had a negative stereotype but was nothing like I've heard. The parents need to get more involved and build more positive relationships with...
