Rivercrest Elementary School is a public school founded in 1998 in Bartlett, Tennessee, a suburb northeast of Memphis. It previously operated under Shelby County Legacy Schools, but later became part of the Bartlett City Schools system in 2014. The campus sits on 18 acres in a well-established neighborhood and is the home of the Redbirds. Each academic year, approximately 580 students in grades pre-k through fifth are enrolled. Rivercrest Elementary offers an honors program for students interested in fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and math. This STEAM program has been offered since 2015, and Rivercrest Elementary is the only elementary school in the district to have an approved STEAM program for students in Grades 1-5. There are approximately 38 teachers on staff, with each having about 15 students per classroom. Extracurricular activities and clubs at Rivercrest Elementary include basketball, chess, cross country, Pearls and Lace club, the LEGO club and theater, to name a few.

The administration in this school is harsh and uncaring. The best teachers have fled this cold environment, and many of the remaining teachers are apathetic at best. The principal is only concerned with getting money for the school that she can use to buy food for teachers. They have kids fundraisin...
