My experience at bartow high has been amazing all 3 years ive went here . The teachers and staff all put in a help to all students no matter what . The best part about bartow senior high would probably be the staff and students the staff is so nice and the students help around with everyone at the school. Honestly i never had the " worst " experience at bartow high . The staff has always helped me when i needed it , for example my senior year i came in stressing about getting all my graduation requirements but my guidance counselor ms tindell made sure i got all the help i needed . I would like to see a change in some people attitude !

Over all it's a good school, but it poorly prepares you for life outside of high school. You have some teachers that are amazing and actually care about you and teach you well, but then you have the other teachers that don't care about you and cant teach. So depending on who you get as a teacher depends on how well you will get taught and if you will actually enjoy learning. I wish it would improve in preparing kids for life outside of school so students would be prepared.

The school is a lot bigger than my previous one. There are lots of choices for academies such as fire, medical, criminal justice, and just about anything else. They also share some classes with Summerlin Academy kids (a military academy). The staff are helpful and all very welcoming.

I have 2 children currently enrolled at this school. When my oldest began her 9th grade year we immediately started having bullying problems. Shes now a senior and not much has changed. I have had more meetings at this school than i can count about several issues, bullying, struggling with classes,...

I gave this (2) stars, because there are worse schools in Polk County, for sure.Bartow High School would probably be a failing school if they weren't using the IB, and probably Summerlin scores to pull up their grade. According to US News, less than 1/2 ar eproficient in Math and reading, and only 2...
