GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Beaver Dam High School is by all means not a terrible place to get your education; we have nice teachers, a decently broad range of classes to take, and a very nice building. They recently renovated it to add glass to every wall, which was a completely unnecessary additon to the school and a waste of money, but the school looks cool now at least. Despite how boring Beaver Dam is, at least you can get a decent education.

Over my four years at Beaver Dam High School, I have had many experiences, both good and bad. I enjoyed our theater department, as well as our music groups. I am saddened by the extreme distance between kids of sports upbringing and music upbringing. I wish the two groups could get along better, but unfortunately, our school is a sports high school, and our theater will continue to be overlooked.

Some of the laziest teachers who put in the minimal effort to teach and yet still gives an unreasonable amount of assignments. And don't get me started on how toxic the students where too

I was a previous student of BDHS back in the early to mid 90's. Back then, the school was really good. Like any high school the athletes and the superior academic students got special treatment from faculty, but the "average" students were average to strong academically. BDHS has gotten a lot of bad...
